Palliative Care
Treatment to relieve, rather than cure, symptoms caused by cancer or other terminal illness including neurological diseases, heart disease or end stage dementias. Palliative care can help people live more comfortably and die with hope and dignity, often in their own home. Some times the institution of Hospice which uses Palliative Medicine as its tenent, is utilized at end of life.
